The opportunity to help other musicians broaden their capacity and understanding of music is an incredible gift. I find great joy in exploring with others the inexhaustible possibilities of life through music. As an artist, I find it profoundly invigorating, always leaving a lesson/coaching having learned more about myself in music. Collaboration guides us through music, more importantly, through humanity.
In addition to working with voice and piano students at Boston University, Douglas Sumi regularly coaches singers and pianists privately and gives master classes across the country.
